The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) has announced three expert visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2026, bringing diaspora professionals together with institutions and specialists in their homeland.
The visits will focus on biomedical research, advanced medical procedures and the use of artificial intelligence in business. The initiative is part of the academy’s efforts to strengthen professional cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and its international diaspora.
According to the academy’s November 3 announcement, the program includes activities in Sarajevo and Mostar.
Three Experts, Three Areas of Expertise
Dunja Aksentijević Ricciarelli was scheduled to visit Sarajevo from November 2 to 5, with activities focused on biomedical science.
Her visit is followed by Amir Arnautović, whose program is scheduled for November 9 to 14 and focuses on complex aortic interventions.
Later in the month, Selma Kadić Maglajlić is expected to visit Mostar from November 23 to 27.
Her activities will address sales methodology and the application of artificial intelligence in the field.
The three visits bring together expertise from different professional disciplines, reflecting the range of knowledge available within the Bosnian-Herzegovinian diaspora.
Connecting International Expertise With Bosnia and Herzegovina
Professional cooperation with diaspora specialists provides opportunities for institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to exchange knowledge with experts working internationally.
In healthcare, such exchanges can introduce professionals to different clinical approaches and developments in medical research. In business, discussions about artificial intelligence can help participants explore emerging technologies and their practical applications.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences serves as a platform connecting professionals and academics with ties to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through initiatives such as its November expert visits, the academy continues to encourage professional connections between the country and its diaspora.
The announced schedule covers several dates throughout November. The original announcement confirms the planned visits but does not establish that all activities have already taken place.
